The Lost Art of Connecting Strokes

Somewhere along the way, massage therapy became segmented. We learned to work shoulder to shoulder, hip to hip, problem to problem. Yet the body itself has never been divided.
The Lost Art of Connecting Strokes invites therapists back into whole-body listening. This four-hour continuing education course explores how fascia, the nervous system, and perception all respond to uninterrupted, flowing touch. Rather than treating regions in isolation, students learn how to create seamless transitions that help the body feel coherent, included, and safe.
Grounded in modern fascia research and trauma-informed principles, this class teaches how sustained, continuous strokes influence mechanoreceptors, proprioception, and parasympathetic tone. Connecting strokes are not about doing more. They are about weaving technique into flow so the body experiences touch as a conversation rather than a series of interruptions.
Therapists will learn how to bridge specific work without losing depth, how transitions can be just as therapeutic as focus points, and how whole-body contact supports grounding, integration, and nervous system regulation. Clients often describe feeling more present, more whole, and more at ease. This course shows you why that happens and how to intentionally create it.
This class is ideal for therapists who want their sessions to feel smoother, more intentional, and deeply integrated, without abandoning clinical skill.
This class will count as 4 CEUs

TMJ Release

After taking this class, the student will be able to: Recognize specific muscular and biomechanical dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint and surrounding supportive structures. Understand the mechanics of TMJ and postural dynamics that influence the joint. Apply the appropriate techniques to the involved areas to regain homeostasis and proper biomechanical functioning of the involved musculature. Understand and name specific muscles being treated, including origin, insertion, actions, the bones and their landmarks so treatment to these areas can maximize biomechanical functions. Recognize indications and contraindications for the affected areas.
